Acceptance
By using Safeguard, you agree to these terms and Apple's applicable App Store terms and standard licensed application terms.
What Safeguard does
Safeguard is an information and organization tool for purchases, receipts, returns, warranties, protection plans and claim-support information.
No legal or coverage advice
Safeguard does not provide legal advice, determine legally binding warranty coverage, guarantee return eligibility, refunds or claim approval, or replace terms issued by retailers, manufacturers, insurers, protection-plan providers or other providers. Verify important decisions against original documents and the relevant provider.
AI features
AI-generated answers may contain errors and depend on the information available in Safeguard and any relevant processing. Warranty document analysis may begin when you open an eligible Pro Warranty Review while Smart Analysis is enabled; Warranty Assistant sends a model request when you submit a question and relevant evidence exists. Claim Assistant currently prepares a deterministic draft from the facts you enter and saved purchase information. Verify important dates and coverage details. AI output does not create or change warranty or return rights.
Your content and responsibilities
You are responsible for information you enter and documents you add, for having the right to use those materials, for checking important information and for retaining original documents where appropriate.
Free tier
Safeguard currently allows free users to save up to five active purchases. Archived purchases do not count toward that active limit, but restoring an archived purchase while at the limit may be restricted. Deleting a purchase removes it from the app and frees its active slot.
Safeguard Pro
Safeguard Pro is an auto-renewable annual subscription offered through Apple's App Store. Pro includes unlimited active purchases, Warranty Assistant and Claim Assistant. The subscription's current price is supplied by StoreKit and shown for your storefront before purchase; price, currency, taxes and availability may vary. No fixed price is promised by these terms.
Billing, renewal and cancellation
Apple processes subscription purchases. A subscription automatically renews unless canceled in accordance with Apple's applicable subscription rules. You can manage or cancel it through your Apple account or App Store subscription settings. Restore Purchases is available through Settings and the Pro purchase flow; it asks Apple to synchronize App Store transactions and refreshes the app's entitlement status. Apple controls App Store transaction and refund processes; these terms do not create a separate refund policy.
When Pro access ends
StoreKit entitlement checks stop treating an expired or revoked subscription as active. The current implementation retains existing purchase records and their documents when Pro access ends; automated tests verify that records above the free limit remain readable and that a further save is gated. Pro-only Warranty Assistant and Claim Assistant access may be restricted. Manual verification of the complete expiration flow on a physical device remains part of release QA.
Availability
Some functionality may depend on network access, your device's capabilities, Apple services or AI service availability. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.
Ownership and intellectual property
Safeguard and its original content are provided by its operator and remain subject to applicable intellectual-property rights. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.
Prohibited use
Do not use Safeguard unlawfully, interfere with the app or related services, attempt unauthorized access, or add material you do not have the right to use.
Disclaimer
Safeguard is provided as a tool for organizing and understanding user-supplied purchase information. You remain responsible for checking that information and deciding what action to take.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of Safeguard. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Stopping use
You can stop using Safeguard at any time. Stopping app use does not itself cancel an App Store subscription; manage it through Apple.
Changes
These terms may be updated as Safeguard changes. The effective date above will be updated when they are revised.
